Keeping The Showroom Finish For Years!

We have created this easy to follow curtains care guide to help you get the most out of your investment, just for you.

If you still require assistance or you’re unsure of how you could maintain your made-to-, please contact our experts for advice.

    • Vacuum Your Curtains

Vacuuming your Curtains regularly using a brush attachment, to keep your curtains dust and dirt free.

    • Regular Re-Dressing

To keep up the room’s appearance, the curtains might need to be rearranged regularly. The drapes will stay in their proper position as a result of this. Pulling the drapes taut within the tie-backs or hold-backs can help the curtains stay in their proper position and prevent them from moving.

    • Steaming Your Curtains

Steaming your curtains while they are hanging can help to remove any creases.

    • Minimise Fading

Black-out linings on your curtains can help to minimise fading caused by sunlight.

    • Plump Up Your Cushions Regularly

If you have ordered co-ordinating scatter cushions with your curtains, plump them up regularly to maintain their shape and appearance.

    Washing Instructions

Please check the label sewn into your curtains/fabric for cleaning instructions.
    Lightly spin or line dry.
     DO NOT tumble dry.
Most of our curtains should be washed using a non-colour enhancing liquid detergent.
Many of our fabrics can be machine washed or hand washed at the same temperature – 30ºC. (Stretch covers can be washed at 40ºC)

** Note: Chenille and Velvet fabrics – the pile will flatten with use overtime. This may result in a ‘shaded’ area on contact areas but this is normal for this type of fabric. Vacuum, using a brush attachment from time to time to reduce flattening.

    Eyelet Curtains

Start with one end of the curtain with the front facing you. Place the eyelet over the pole so that only the front of the curtain can be seen once hung. Carry on placing the eyelets through in a concertina fashion. Once both curtains have been replaced tighten up bracket screws.

    Pencil Pleat Curtains

Insert your curtain hooks, starting with the middle point on the header tape and working to the outer edge of the curtain, leaving around 5cm between hooks. If your curtain does not have an overlap, put the hook on the curtain in the middle of the window on the 2nd to end pocket to allow a curtain overlap once the curtain is drawn. This is required on the curtain to the left as you walk into the room, to ensure that no light can be seen between the curtains when drawn.

    Pinch Pleat Curtains

A unique feature of these curtains is that you can adjust the drop by moving the hook down the slider. This process can be repeated until you are satisfied with the look. Pinch pleat curtains have the pleats permanently sewn in and will be made to fit the exact width of the track or pole.

x These are the standard washing instructions. Please refer directly to your curtain labels or please approach our staffs for more information on the washing instructions for your particular fabric.
